Apple’s Weather Conditions Determining Group is seeking a talented Software Developer with a passion for AI to enhance our weather forecasting systems. As a key team member, your primary focus will be on software development, with your expertise in AI playing a crucial role in our initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable software systems that drive our weather forecasting processes.
• Utilize AI knowledge to develop innovative forecasting models and algorithms that improve accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with our team of meteorologists and software developers to translate complex weather data into actionable solutions.
• Optimize data processing pipelines and work with large-scale datasets to ensure efficient and reliable data handling.
• Contribute to the development of our software architecture and design patterns, ensuring the long-term sustainability of our systems.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in designing data processing systems for large-scale datasets.
• Proficiency in Python or other programming languages for large-scale data handling.
• Strong understanding of software systems and architecture, including data flows, design choices, and trade-offs.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with exceptional programming skills and a solid understanding of AI principles.
• A track record of building scalable, data-driven solutions and a passion for solving complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Python or other languages for large-scale data processing.
• Proficiency in AI, particularly neural networks and their applications.
• Knowledge of remote sensing, models, and various observational datasets.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms and their applications.

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this role is competitive and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
