Full job description Flight Attendants are essential employees who are in charge of customers’ safety, comfort, and security from the time they board the plane until they land at their final destination. As a result, Flight Attendants are on the “front lines” when it comes to serving customers well and promoting Allegiant Air to the general public. Equally important, Flight Attendants make a contribution to the smooth operation of the business by accurately recording the number of passengers and the items they must serve. Flight attendants promote the purchase and use of Allegiant and specific industry partners’ goods and services. responsibilities SECURITY:
Perform carry-on baggage, customers, and aircraft security checks prior to boarding.
Give leadership and other crew members support.
In accordance with company guidelines and government regulations, offer customers direction and assistance.
SAFETY:
Check the cabin area for safety before taking off.
Ensure that customers are seated and that carry-on luggage is stored appropriately in routine situations; inform passengers and verify compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
Take precautions to ensure the safety of passengers and crew during unusual circumstances, such as decompression, turbulence, mechanical failure, medical emergencies, or customers’ illegal behavior.
Customers’ appearances of intoxication and/or potential danger should be assessed.
COMFORT:
Serve and sell all customers goods, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and food.
Take special care of any customers’ requirements.
Communicate with customers effectively, both privately and over the intercom, regarding travel-related information.
ADMINISTRATIVE:
As required, record and archive all reports, including trip and inventory reports.
Complete all required international paperwork.
Timely upload of onboard sales.
Other responsibilities as given.
REQUIRED TRAINING (AS PROVEN BY ALLEGIANT) INITIAL/PRE-EMPLOYMENT Successful completion of a minimum of five hours of initial operating experience and a training program for new hires lasting four and a half weeks.
The trainee must score at least 90% on all written and oral tests and successfully complete the job’s physical requirements, such as emergency/evacuation drills.
Trainees are required to take part in water emergency training, which includes going into a swimming pool without a life jacket.
Nights, weekends, and holidays may be included in class hours.
NOTE: After completing the entire training program successfully, trainees will be offered employment.
In accordance with the Flight Attendant Collective Bargaining Agreement, trainees receive a daily per diem to cover various costs.
RECURRENT/ONGOING:
The Team Member is required to physically operate aircraft emergency equipment and actively participate in simulated emergency situations during all requalification training and recurrent emergency training.
As required, additional transition, requalification, and training will be provided.
