Core Infrastructure’s goal is to provide best-in-class cloud-native infrastructure to Spotify’s engineers. As a member of the insights team, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams of skilled engineers, data scientists, user researchers, designers, and product managers who are all passionate about creating scalable products for our developers and customers. You’ll help us understand and measure the impact of engineering investments and drive product decisions to unlock and enhance Spotify’s developer productivity.
What You’ll Do
• Define metrics, create key datasets, and build dashboards reports to empower data-informed product development • Perform exploratory analysis to understand who our users are, how they get value out of our offering and where we can further develop our product to bring greater value • Collaborate closely and support product managers and engineers across the organization to create and promote shared data-informed methods • Develop and innovate on our mixed-methods insights practice, and chip in to the wider Insights community at Spotify • Derive relevant answers and useful insights from loosely defined problems
Who You Are
• You have 5+ years of relevant experience, working with software engineering teams • You have relevant training in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, economics or another quantitative field • You possess statistical skills to perform advanced analytics (such as regression modeling and significance testing) • You have experience working with large datasets in a cloud-based data processing environment, such as Big Query or similar and visualization tools (like Tableau or Data Studio) • You have coding skills, such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with analytics tools such as Pandas, R, SQL, or Hadoop • You are able to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of ambiguity, with only high-level direction Where You’ll Be • We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode that is best for them! • Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the Americas region in which we have a work location and is within working hours. • Working hours? We operate within the Eastern Standard time zone for collaboration and ask that all team members be located in that time zone.

The United States base range for this position is $134,236 – $191,765 plus equity.
The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
