Job Title: Physician Compensation Analyst

Location: Remote (Candidate must reside in Los Angeles, CA)

Job Type: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 40 per week

Experience

 

  • 5 years in finance or compensation (Required)
  • 2 years in hospital setting (Required)
  • 1 year in contract administration (Required)
  • 1 year in physician compensation (Required)
  • 1 year in physician billing and productivity measures (Required)

Education

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, HR, Finance/Accounting, or related field (Preferred)

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct benchmarking and data analysis to develop recommendations for competitive, cost-effective, and legally compliant physician compensation programs.
  • Provide guidance to client groups on physician compensation policies and evaluate requests for updates.
  • Interpret and implement compensation arrangements as per agreements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses related to physician compensation and productivity metrics.
  • Manage components of annual physician reviews, including productivity reports and salary adjustments.
  • Maintain and audit compensation and productivity data in various databases and payroll systems.
  • Prepare financial reports such as Profit & Loss Statements for physician practices.
  • Participate in annual surveys and liaise with external appraisers/consultants.
  • Provide guidance, training, and updates on physician compensation to HR and leadership.
  • Partner with Finance/HR staff to resolve operational issues.

Qualifications

 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ADP, MMC, TriNet a plus.
