Job Title: Front Desk Administrative Support

Job Summary:
LHH is working with a government office that is looking to hire a temporary to possible permanent Front Desk Administrative Support Representative. This role is 100% in office in Somerset, NJ. The hours are Monday through Friday 8AM to 4PM with a 1-hour unpaid lunch and two 15-minute paid breaks, s it is a 35 hour work week. The qualified candidate should have at least 1 year of prior administrative experience in an office setting.
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:
Sitting at front desk and acting as main point of contact for visitors and callers
Answering incoming phone calls, taking messages, assisting the caller if possible, and/or transferring the call to voicemail
Greeting visitors in a friendly and positive manner and directing them to the proper department
Keeping the common areas neat and tidy
Noting the supplies in the office that need replenishments including kitchen supplies and restocking the supplies when needed
Handling paper and electronic filing consistently
Accepting incoming back, sorting and distributing, and logging mail into the system
Handle alarm calls from pump stations and logging these calls
Answer email correspondence in Microsoft Outlook
Work within Excel spreadsheets to keep track of information
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of administrative office experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel)
Extremely reliable and punctual
Ability to work 100% in office
Team player with a positive and professional demeanor
Experience using a multiline phone is a plus
High School Diploma
Ability to work in a fast paced environment during busy season but also keep busy during slower periods of time
Familiarity with using office machinery including copiers, fax machine, scanner, postage machine, etc.
Pay Details: $20.00 per hour
