The pay range is $111,200.00 – $200,200.00

Product Teams at Target are accountable for the delivery of business outcomes enabled through technology and analytic products that are easy to use, easily maintained and highly reliable. Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology, discovery and design work.

 

Guest Engagement Product is comprised of 20+ products that deliver a 360-degree view of our guests, derive guest inferences using AI models, and manage guest privacy choices. The Sr. Product Manager role is designed to drive inferences forward that allow for a deeper level of personalization for our guests by working with the product team managing strategies, capabilities, and outcomes across the platform.

 

We are seeking a highly qualified and innovative Senior Product Manager to lead the development and optimization of personalization models and guest journeys.  In this role you will be responsible for designing and executing strategies that deliver tailored, relevant experiences to our guests across guest facing touchpoints.  You will work at the intersection of data science, guest experience, and product development to enhance guest engagement and drive business growth.

 

Personalization Strategy:  Develop and execute a comprehensive personalization strategy that leverages data driven models to deliver customized guest experiences.  Ensure that personalization efforts align with overall business goals and guest needs.

 

Guest Journey Mapping:  Identify key moments where personalization can drive significant impact on guest engagement.

 

Cross-Functional Leadership:  Collaborate closely with data science, engineering, UX, and business teams to integrate personalization models into the product experience.

 

Data-Driven Decision Making:  Utilize guest data and analytics to inform personalization strategies.  Identify insights that can be used to optimize guest journeys and improve personalization efforts.

 

A/B Testing and Experimentation:  Design and oversee A/B test and other experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of personalization initiatives.  Use insights from these tests to iterate and refine personalization models.

 

Industry Thought Leadership:  Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in personalization and guest experience.  Share knowledge and provide thought leadership within the organization.

 

As a Senior Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap, and set key business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product.  You will need to leverage the knowledge of your product, as well as customer feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will lead a product and work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists and business partners to deliver a product.

 

You will be the “voice of the product” to key stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and that the product team is getting the direction and support that it needs to be successful. You will develop and actively understand the market, maintain a product roadmap and backlog outlining the customer themes, epics, and stories while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.

 

You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization’s direction. You will foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles, and partner with product teams across the organization to help them achieve their goals while pursuing and completing yours.

About you: 

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of product management experience leveraging AI, Data Science, and Guest Journey Based Marketing
  • Desired experience with one or more functional areas: CRM, digital, digital marketing, loyalty, personalization, ad-tech products, mar-tech products, or customer analytics.
  • Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)
  • Ability to lead a body of work with cross-functional partners
  • Strong communication skills

 

 

 

 

This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as “Flex for Your Day”) work arrangement based on Target’s needs.  A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that’s not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.  A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
