The Commerce, Growth & Identity (CGI) team is dedicated to three business-critical areas at Disney that will help transform its media business. They build magnificent user experiences for consumers who can choose from a wide range of subscription plans, enabling more choice and flexibility. The CGI team is also passionate about building innovative and pioneering capabilities that will drive subscriptions, engagement, and monetization across Disney’s streaming and digital products. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who will drive development of our scalable, centralized data aggregator for commerce data, prioritizing across use cases from analytics, experimentation, revenue recognition, and other team members to deliver value to our business.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a leader for the commerce transactional data space, with a deep understanding of how each of the services across the commerce space interact to produce transactional records
  • Demonstrate active ownership of the transactional data domain, as well as related processes and touchpoints with other teams
  • Work cross functionally with members of the product, legal, data & analytics, controllership, accounting, partnership, business, and engineering teams to identify requirements for new features that ensure compliance
  • Maintain all key JIRA tasks, boards and detailed documentation across teams, as well as all crucial communication to internal partners
  • Translate inputs and business needs into detailed product requirements documents and user stories for engineering to implement
  • Develop a product roadmap that accomplishes business/customer goals and aligns with the team charter

Basic Qualifications

  • You have at least 7 years of product management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience using JIRA and other product and project management tools
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • You’re an analytical problem solver with strong problem-solving skills
  • You have an ability to make quick decisions to solve complex technical and operational challenges
  • You’re familiar with working on projects with distributed teams, making use of technology and process to overcome the challenges of working with remote staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in computer science, engineering, finance, economics or related fields is a plus, MBA preferred
  • Previous experience working on a subscription product
  • You have experience working with an internationally distributed digital product
  • You excel at coordinating multiple projects at a time
  • You enjoy developing thoughtful and concise requirements through memos and user stories. You take pride that your name is attached to these artifacts
  • You establish relationships that help drive consensus across the organization when trying to accomplish larger goals

The hiring range for this position in California is $149,300 to $219,200 per year and in Seattle, Washington and New York, New York is $156,300 to $209,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
